KMenu is slow and sluggish

Problem

The Kickoff style KMenu (the modern style Menu setup by default in Granular) is slow and sluggish.

Solution

If you have a NVIDIA card with hardware acceleration enabled, chances of this issue occurring are very well there. A workaround here is to switch to traditional KMenu style. To do this, right-click on Menu button at top-left corner, select "Unlock Panels" (if they are not already unlocked), again right-click on Menu button and choose "Switch to KDE Menu Style".
