Panel – Add an Application Icon to the Panel
From Granular Linux Documentation
Tip
To add an application icon to the panel navigate to the desired application in the Kickoff Application Launcher (The main menu with the KDE logo on the icon. This is usually on the far left of the panel.). Next, right click on the application you want to add. You will have three options. They are “Add to Favorites,” “Add to Desktop,” and “Add to Panel.” Click on “Add to Panel” and the icon will appear on your panel.
You will probably want to move the icon from its original location. Click on the panel “cashew.” The two temporary panels will open. Now put the mouse cursor over the icon you wish to move. An animation showing directional arrows will appear. Left click, hold, and drag the icon to its new location.
To remove an icon simply right click on it. Select “Remove this Icon.”
