Next release to do

The next release of Granular is going the final Granular 1.0 release.

Following is the list of expected changes for the next release.

Major Packages To Be Updated / Added

kde-3.5.10
firefox3 [3.0.4] (repackage to include Granular's bookmarks and to set the default homepage to /usr/share/doc/HTML/index.html)
draklive-install (replace the bootsplash resolution 800x600 by 1024x768)
indexhtml (update all the content for Granular 1.0)
ndiswrapper (our own build of the latest version)
kernel-2.6.25 (or later)
drakxtools and drakconf (latest)

Investigate the screensaver problem (http://www.granularlinux.com/forum/index.php?topic=815.0) and try to resolve it.
The following two issues could be due to incompatibility of 2.6.24.7 kernel with certain SATA chipsets. I guess these problems will get solved with our next kernel build:
- Some hard drives are not being detected by RC. (http://www.granularlinux.com/forum/index.php?topic=807.0)
- On some systems, Granular RC installs fine, but on booting from the installed system, kernel panic - not syncing error is encountered. (http://www.granularlinux.com/forum/index.php?topic=808.0)
- People are having problems configuring Internet connection through WiFi (http://www.granularlinux.com/forum/index.php?topic=806.0)

A release notes document (HTML) could be added to the root of the CD so that it automatically opens up in a browser when the CD is inserted in the drive in Windows. This feature is similar to that found in DreamLinux.
Try resolving the points mentioned in the errata (in release notes of Granular 1.0 Preview).
