Our explanation
The kernel is the heart and brain of a Linux-based operating system (OS), like Granular. It is the core of the OS which handles and manages processes and other important things in the OS. Without the kernel, Linux would not have been what it is today. Thanks to Linus Torvalds who first coded it in 1991.
