What are the system requirements for installing / trying Granular?

RAM (Memory): 256 MB or higher
Processor: Pentium III or higher
Graphics Card: Not Required for basic usage but necessary to enjoy all the 3D effects offered by Looking Glass and Compiz Fusion

How do I switch between various desktop environments?

Switching between the various desktop environments in Granular is easy, for example KDE to E17 or vice-versa. See the instructions here.

I cannot see the Install Granular icon on the desktop of guest account. What to do?

Find the Install Granular icon on the desktop of root account.

Note: This is not a problem any more starting from version 1.0.

I used Synaptic Package Manager to update Granular. Now, all the Granular look and logos have gone. What to do?

This used to be a problem prior to Granular 1.0. The problem arose due to the fact that Granular used to use just the repository of PCLinuxOS. But now, as Granular has its own repository, the problem has been solved.

If you are still using a previous version of Granular, add the Granular repository to the list in Synaptic.
