Cannot save DNS addresses
From Granular Linux Documentation
Problem
Due to an unordered list of startup services, the DNS service is not able to startup properly in some cases (not all). Due to this, the DNS (nameserver) addresses, set up by the user during the Internet connection setup, don't seem to get saved permanently, that is, the DNS addresses are erased each time the user reboots the system, and eventually the user ends up adding the DNS entries again.
Solution
This was a bug in the package "chkconfig". It has been resolved in the latest Granular releases.
Current users can correct it by issuing the command:
chkconfig --add resolvconf
